Happy Holidays and Seasons Greetings!

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season.  As we head into the end of the year, I wanted to share one of the more intriguing posts that I found on one of my favorite blogs, Consumerist.com.

In the movie, Its A Wonderful Life, the main character, George Bailey, gives a loan to a taxi driver who originally did not qualify by Mr. Potter’s (the bank’s owner) standards.  In trying to defend the loan to Mr. Potter, Mr. Bailey says that he gave the loan on the basis of character (rather than by the basis of existing lending standards).  So the question must be asked: Did George Bailey create the first publicized Sub-Prime mortgage?

Just some food for thought.  Check out the original post here on Consumerist.com.

And again, I hope everyone has a happy holiday and a wonderful new year!
